We gathered at Cotswold Prestige Cars in Andoversford at 1030; almost everyone was early, displaying the usual level of Area 22 enthusiasm!
Tea, coffee and cake (with Prosecco for the ladies I was told) was the immediate order of the day. We began with a meaningful discussion on why we were there, and that was to provide Neil with the opportunity of telling us how his company provides a viable, attractive alternative to the offerings of the main dealer. He explained that they had the ability to carry out repairs and servicing to any Aston Martin and that the modus operandi was to engage with the customer and not simply carry out work from a pre-determined list.
Supported by coffee and cake we walked around the workshop viewing the large selection, including Astons, of cars which were in for servicing or restoration. In addition we stood in the sunshine and solved the problems of the world as only an Area 22 debate can do.
In summing up at the end of a very informative and social visit, we suggested a new strap line for Neil’s business “a Prestige service for Prestige customers from Prestige Cars” … and on that note we left for the pub!
Lunch was enjoyed at the Colesbourne Inn which rounded off a very pleasant Saturday event. Thank you, Nikki and Neil, for your hospitality and Ray for organising it.
