Vantage Celebration Day 2025!

Linda Blansjaar | Published on 8/20/2025

The celebration of Aston Martin's Vantage (75 years of the specification and 20 years of Gaydon VH2 Vantage) exceeded our expectations. Over 450 Aston Martins attended the event with the Aston Martin cars with the name "Vantage" were parked in stunning displays, including a time line with some very special cars.  The Aston Martin F1  Vantage F1 Safety car was joined in display by a current Vantage GT3 and V8 Vantage race car.

Amidst the "ocean of Vantages" our special guest, Dr Ulrich Bez, spoke about the origins of the Gaydon Vantage. Dr Bez re read his launch speech from 2005, which was well received with a yellow V8 Vantage in the foreground.

The AMHT presented the AMV8 Concept Car, allowing enthusiasts to see V12 engine which was not show at the original Concept launch.  Also to see the ideas that did not make the final design.

Garry Taylor and Steve Waddingham recorded Vantage stories through out the day which are now avaible to listen to on the AMHT Podcasts.

Steve Waddingham, Aston Martin Historian along with Douglas Alderson from the Club took enthusiasts along the Vantage timeline from DB2 up to the present model of Vantage.  Helping enthusiasts to understand the complexities of Vantage.  Listen to the podcast to hear the origins of Vantage. AMHT Podcasts

The event guide is available to read here covering the history of Vantage DB2 to present day.

A huge thank you to all involved in the event from the parking attendants, enthusiasts brining their cars, the specialists who support the event and the British Motor Museum for hosting the event. It was truly inspiring to see so many Aston Martin enthusiasts and Vantage owners turn up and support this fantastic day.
