In March we had a wonderful reception hosted by the RAC Club in Pall Mall in honour of Daryll’s Club Trophy win at the Hampton Court Concours of Elegance for his Graber-bodied 1952 DB2 Drophead Coupe. It was fantastic to see some new, recent and old faces amongst the around 40 members who turned up. The reception started at 18:30, with drinks and canapes in the Reading room followed by a group photo opportunity before moving to the Club room and the Long Bar until late. A big thank you to Daryll for cleaning his exhaust with a toothbrush (or have a man do it!), winning the trophy, organising the event and inviting us. It was a pleasure to celebrate with you!
Looking forward to other events in the months ahead, we have the Salon Prive London or the Goodwood Members Meeting this weekend, and for those of you who are not going to the AMOC Spring Concours we are heading to Saint Mawes, Cornwall to meet up with David Richards on the 7th June at his Idle Rocks Hotel. Here we will enjoy Sunday lunch and then have a Q&A session with David discussing his past Chairmanship of Aston Martin and his incredible motorsport success with Prodrive and Aston Martin Racing. We will be able to hear first-hand his numerous successes and how he masterminded the famous Le Mans victories for Aston Martin of the modern era. This is an open invitation to any Area 00 members and friends to join us. You are free to make your own travel arrangements and it will be the perfect opportunity to extend your stay for a long weekend or longer holiday. Please contact us if you are planning to join.
We will be having drinks again at the RAC in Pall Mall again this Thursday (16th April 2026) from 18:30.
