Frequently Asked Questions

The Club receives many enquiries on the same or similar topics, so this page answers the most common questions in order that you receive an answer as quickly as possible.

The Club focuses primarily on its Members, and so cannot always be of assistance to non-Members, but will try.

Enquiries relating to your Aston Martin, refurbishment and heritage.

I want to find out about a particular Aston Martin and who owns it. Does the Club have this information?
The Club does not keep a database of all Aston Martins produced or owned by Club Members and non-Members. In this case, we recommend that you contact the Aston Martin Heritage Trust who are the keepers of the historical information.

Some of our Members share information on their Aston Martins within the Club, and others do not - there is no requirement to do so.

We do not share information about our Members or their cars, and we would not give out to non-Members the names and contact details of our Members.

Within the Club, some Members with specialist knowledge have volunteered to be a point of contact for advice for their fellow Members. This is available to other Members who are logged into the website. They are not available to contact by non-Members

For Club Members

I have recently found/bought an Aston Martin that needs refurbishment. Can you help?
We recommend contacting a specialist restoration company local to you. Some companies advertise in AM Monthly (included with your Membership), so this can be a good place to start.

The Heritage Trust may be able to help and provide a discount on there services for Members.

Contact your fellow Club member with a specialist interest in the era to which your car belongs: log in to the AMOC website with your Membership details; under the 'CARS' menu, select the era; scroll down the page and you'll find the contact details for the Representative era specialist.

You may also like to post your questions on the Forum. This is a very active part of the website. (Please note that your log in details for the Forum are different to your Membership log in; please email us if you need assistance.)

I have just bought an Aston Martin and would like to find out more about its history.
Log into the AMOC website; under the CARS menu, navigate down the list to the car era relevant to your Aston Martin. Scroll down the page to see the contact details of your fellow Member with specialist knowledge.

The Aston Martin Heritage Trust are the keepers of all the historical information regarding your car and provide a discounted fee for their services to Members. Contact the Aston Martin Heritage Trust.

For non-Members:

From Non-Members wishing to connect with Club Members or their Astons

I would like an Aston Martin to attend an event or be part of a film. Can the Club help me contact its Members local to me?
We are unable to assist with requests of this nature. There are specialist companies who provide vehicles (with the appropriate insurance) for this purpose. Non-Members can join the Forum - to a limited degree - and post requests such as these on there, but the Club would not contact its Members to make these requests.

I would like to contact someone who is/used to be a Member of the Club, or find out if someone I know is a Member. Can you help?
We are unable to assist with requests of this nature. The Club cannot provide any details about its Members. We may be able to contact a current Member to let them know that we have received an enquiry, but we cannot give any details about our Members - including whether that person is a Member or not.

Valuations

I need to have my car valued - does AMOC provide this service?
The Club does not have the facilities to offer a valuation service unfortunately.

What we recommend is that both Members and non-Members contact either our sponsor RM Sothebys, or a restoration company local to you.

We are not able to recommend particular restoration companies, but many companies advertise in our magazine AM Monthly, so we suggest to Members to start there. You can also post a question on the Forum (instructions on how to access the Forum are above).

AMOC Members' Shop

For Club Members:

I am trying to buy something from the Shop, but there is no option to add something to my basket.
The shop is for Members only, so you must log in to the website in order to purchase items from the shop. Please log in to the website, and try again. You can also reset your password, or contact the Club's Membership Administrator for further assistance.

For non-Members

I would like to buy something from the AMOC shop.
The AMOC online shop is for our Members. The only opportunity for non-Members to buy something from the shop is at one of the larger automotive events, such as Simply Aston Martin or Silverstone, where the shop is present. If the event is open to the general public, we will only have a very limited range on sale, rather than the full range that is available to Members.

Insurance and Breakdown

Do you recommend insurance or breakdown companies?
We recommend that you contact our sponsor, Lockton.

The Club cannot provide assistance to either Members or non-Members if you have currently broken down.
